Welcome to the Library
DCF Library Sleepover

Friday, April 17th, 6:30 p.m. -- Saturday, April 18th, 9:00 a.m.

If you have read at least 8 books from this year’s DCF List, congratulations! On Friday, April 17th, the CHMS Library will host a DCF Sleepover in the Library for any students who have done just that. The Sleepover will take place from 6:30 p.m. Friday, until Saturday morning. Everybody should be picked up by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday! Students will have dinner, vote, read, write stories, make movies, and sleep (yes, sleep!) in the Library.

STUDENTS: If you would like to be part of the DCF Library Sleepover, here’s what you have to do:

Deadline for submitting the permission form is Friday, April 11th.

Once your parent submits the permission form, you will receive a sheet that details what to bring to the sleepover. If parents have any questions, please email Steve Madden at, or call 434-2188.

We're more than books!
Welcome back, and be sure to take a look at some of the new offerings in the CHMS Library.  Yes, we still have 14,000 books and magazines for you to check out, but we also have
  • books you can listen to on CD,
  • books in .mp3 format (we provide the mp3 players), and
  • digital books you can read on a Nook.
Any way you like to read a book, we can meet your needs.
Live a While in These Books
Live a while in these books, learn from them what seems to you worth learning, but above all love them.  This love will be repaid you a thousand and a thousand times, and however your life may turn, ---it will, I am certain of it, run through the fabric of your growth as one of the most important threads among all the threads of your experiences, disappointments and joys.
